Three more days with zero breaks in our boundary stonewall. Huge huge thanks are due to our whole Security team, NPR’s and Police who have worked tirelessly for months to get us to this window of calm. It has been a very long and bumpy road and we know there will be more bumps and potholes in the road but remain vigilant and hope and pray that law and order will be restored.
The cattle that we managed to move off to safer homes are mostly doing well- a few lost to drought, one to snakebite but also lots of calfs born.
Our cattle that are on the farm continue to ‘hang in there’ with us- the barley grass has really helped them but we continue to buy in hay and feed at vast expense….tough times with almost no rain, and no grazing , a drought ….sadly now the convinient excuse for the manmade disaster to Laikipia.
