Thankfully an improvement on yesterday ! – no breaks in the boundary stonewall but still lots of elephant inside, and no security incidences.
A KWS aircraft spent a lot of time patrolling over Kifuku and called in the sighting of an elephant carcass. A team of KWS from Rumuruti were dispatched to check up and it was confirmed to be the carcass of the elephant found on 11th May 2017.
Illegal livestock still in big numbers on Lombara / GG and increasing numbers on Kieni section with cattle arriving overnight.
Continuous patrolling and monitoring of the boundary and internally by the patrol teams, NPR and Police; and normal farm jobs ongoing as well as another session in the Nyahururu Law Court.
In the afternoon we spent over an hour glued to the TV, with our staff and the Police waiting to see the outcome of the election, eventually we carried on with day to day stuff.
Just a few minutes ago H.E Uhuru Kenyatta was declared the winner, he spoke extensively on the need for unity and peace for all Kenyans and extended a hand of friendship to the leader of the opposition Raila Odinga and all Kenyans.
Congratulations H.E Uhuru Kenyatta and Hon. William Ruto
